Common questions
What does the extension do?
Bubblate translates text inside manga and comic images and shows the translated page on the website you're reading. You don't need to copy the dialogue into another app.
Does it work on every website?
Compatibility depends on how a site displays its images. If Bubblate cannot detect a page, you can upload the image in the workspace or report the site through support.
How do credits work?
Credits pay for translations. Each image starts at 1 credit; larger pages and long strips can cost more. When you upload images in the workspace, we show the total before you start. Buy credits when you need them—there is no subscription, and unused credits stay in your account.
What if a translation fails or I decline the preview?
Credits are taken from your available balance when a translation starts. If it fails, we return them. Decline a preview you have not accepted, and we return those credits too. Accepting a preview keeps the original charge; it does not charge you again. Accepted pages stay charged.
Can I translate images from my computer?
Yes. Open the workspace to upload PNG, JPEG, or WebP images. You can review and edit translations in Studio, then download the completed pages.
